The new Christian camp
Burning Church is a new Christian camp in Summer, where a great opportunity awaits young adults between 18 and 30+: do what interests you. Enjoy a week in Attersee with a varied programme and a great community.
Together, we want to think about the Church in the 21st Century, run riot, celebrate, reflect and take time out from the stress of life.
Five in one
Burning Church lives out of its diversity. Five different camps are effectively happening together, at the same time, in the same place. You simply choose a camp and spend a week with the Summer Bible School, Growing Worship, Sport Conference, Art Conference or simply have a holiday.
If you can’t choose, you can spend the time in one of the following combinations: Summer Bible School + Growin’ Worship // Summer Bible School and Sport camp // Art Conference and Growin’ Worship // Art Conference and Sport Camp.
Themes
In the evenings, we’ll all come together. After eating together, we’ll use the big hall to run our evening programme. We’ll begin to think and dream together, what Burning Church means:
- What is the church in the 21st Century for both us and the society we live in?
- How does the church react to the challenges of our time?
- How does the church reach those people who surround it?
- How does the church respond to the subjects, that people are talking about?
Most importantly, what will the church look like as it moves into the 21st Century? What needs to change?
Together we’d like to think creatively and innovatively about the subject. We are the new generation of the church and we believe that tomorrow begins today. Burning church: the church is on fire!
